What Is Priority Membership?
Priority Membership is a listing of individuals who have applied to become independent living residents of Waverly Heights. By joining, you allow us to contact you when an apartment or villa of your desired type becomes available.
Your place on the list is secure, and the process is designed to be flexible and supportive every step of the way.
How to Become a Priority Member
The application process is simple and straightforward:
- Complete a brief application form
- Pay a $5,000 Application Deposit Fee (for a single applicant or couple)
The full amount of this fee will be applied to the Occupancy Rights Fee upon moving to the community or returned to the applicant upon withdrawal from membership.
How We Contact You About Available Homes
Our marketing team contacts applicants based on:
- Deposit date order – We follow the sequence in which deposits were received.
- Requested residency year – We separate the list into those planning to move in the current year versus future years.
- Financial and medical approval status – Final eligibility is confirmed prior to offer.
You’ll be contacted as soon as a home matching your preferences becomes available.

Even if you’re uncertain, please indicate whether you’re considering a move this year or in the future. This helps us manage outreach efficiently. For those just joining the Priority Membership List, it may be several years before your preferred residence becomes available.

Can I lose my place on the list?
No. If you decline an available apartment or villa, you retain your original position on the list. There’s no penalty for saying “not yet” — we’ll continue to notify you of future opportunities.
How do I update my preferences or move-in timeline?
Simply contact the Waverly marketing staff. Whether you want to change your home preference, adjust your desired move-in date, or update contact information, we’re here to help.
Are current residents given priority?
Yes, residents who wish to transfer to a different home within Waverly are contacted before Priority Members when a desired residence becomes available.
Does anyone have a higher priority than residents?
Yes, a member of the Waverly Heights Board of Trustees who has applied for residency holds the highest priority, even above current residents seeking to transfer.

Fitness & Wellness
Stay active and healthy with access to Waverly’s Fitness Center, pool, and outdoor recreational spaces.

As a Priority Member, you also receive priority access to Waverly’s on-site healthcare services, subject to availability:

- Windsor: Personal Care – assistance with daily living in a warm, supportive environment.
- Devonshire: Memory Support – specialized care in a secure, compassionate setting.
